There was once a conspiracy. The idea was to tell young whippersnappers back in the day, like myself, that single individual controlled all classic rock super-groups. When I first discovered Classic Rock like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Yes, Fleetwood Mac, etc. I had a thirst for first hand knowledge so from time to time I would ask an older filthy wanna-be drug addict about all the bands he saw at the Fillmore or the Garden, as a matter of curiosity Invariably I would get the ingenious:

“I saw Lynard Skynard’s first show in New York man. He was fucking great.”

This has happened to every male person my age. Coincidence? Ha. Why the conspiracy? Were they just misinformed? Could the problem be pro-nouns usage? Were they purposely referring to just one member of each band? Where they actually right so how? I mean if you referred to the band The Doors and used He instead of They you might have had a point. Except Jim had no musical background or training prior to The Doors.
